Metal Stars To Honor Late DROWNING POOL Singer On Upcoming DVD

October 15, 2002

A tribute DVD to late DROWNING POOL frontman Dave Williams, titled Sinema, is scheduled for release on November 19th through Wind-Up.

Sinema combines a history of the band with personal accounts of the much-loved singer. It features uncensored, behind-the-scenes footage of the bandmembers on tour and hanging out in their hometown of Dallas, according to MTV.com. PANTERA's Dimebag Darrell contributed a 15-minute collection of highlights from home videos that he edited himself. Rare performance footage, including a cover of MÖTLEY CRÜE's "Shout at the Devil", is also included.

Other musicians paying tribute to Williams on the DVD are P.O.D.'s Sonny Sandoval, DISTURBED's David Draiman, Rob Zombie, Zakk Wylde, and members of ILL NIÑO, ADEMA, SEETHER and FINGER ELEVEN. Also featured are appearances by Sammy Hagar, SLAYER's Kerry King, MÖTLEY CRÜE's Vince Neil, Ozzy Osbourne, SEVENDUST and MTV News' Iann Robinson.

In addition, all three of the band's videos, "Bodies", "Sinner", and "Tear Away", and scenes from the production of each, are also contained, as is an option to hear the band's audio commentary.
